How We Verify Carriers

Trust runs both ways on CaricoJM. Before any carrier can accept a load, we require that they go through a documented verification process, so shippers know exactly who is handling their cargo.

This process lets shippers know who’s handling their cargo, and carriers know exactly what’s required to get approved and stay active.

1

Business Registration

Carriers must be registered with the Companies Office of Jamaica, or verified as a registered operator.

2

Public Carrier (Goods) Licence

We verify a valid Public Carrier (Goods) Licence issued by the Transport Authority of Jamaica.

3

PCV Insurance

Active Public Commercial Vehicle (PCV) insurance is confirmed on every vehicle used to fulfil loads.

4

Vehicle Documentation

Fitness certificate and vehicle registration are checked for each vehicle on the account.

5

Driver ID & TRN Verification

A valid driver’s licence and Tax Registration Number are confirmed against the account details.

6

Ongoing Monitoring

Documents are re-checked regularly and ahead of expiry, and performance is tracked through ratings from completed deliveries, so standing on the platform reflects real, ongoing reliability.
